The New Shanghai Circus
is composed of astonishing athletes defying gravity and executing breathtaking feats as they stretch the limits of human ability in this spellbinding show. Fearless performers with boundless energy bring you more than two thousand years of Chinese circus traditions. If it's humanly possible-and even if it's not! - Shanghai's acrobats, jugglers and contortionists do it with spectacular flair.
The New Shanghai Circus hits the University Theatre on Febuary 7th, 2009 at 7:30 PM. For more information (including a video): http://www.gmartists.com/shows.htm#shanghai
Ailey II
is universally renowned for merging the spirit and energy of the country's best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today's most outstanding emerging choreographers. Alvin Ailey personally appointed former Ailey member, Sylvia Waters, as Artistic Director in 1974. Under her direction, Ailey II has become one of the most popular dance companies in the country, combining a rigorous touring schedule with extensive community outreach programs.
Ailey II dances through the University Theatre Febuary 20th, 2009 at 7:30 PM. For more information: http://www.alvinailey.org/page.php?p=main&v=5&sec=ailey2 Tickets for Single Events are available September 25th, 2008.
