JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for hire paperwork and payroll for numerous student employees. The Office Manager is also responsible for supervising office assistant and is often asked to check student employees in and out on show days. The Office Manager must be able to tend to many tasks that contribute to the overall productivity of the entire office.

- Ability to maintain relations with various students, staff, departments, and the community
- Responsible, self-motivated, willing to take the initiative to complete tasks
- UM student taking six or more credits and currently in good standing with the University
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee office assistants and maintain smooth functioning of office
- Manage and organize all hire paperwork and timecards
- Submit payroll reports to payroll services
- Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate coordinator or program advisor
- Assist walk-ins with inquiries
- Make copies
- Sort through faxes and distribute appropriately
- Collect and sort mail into appropriate mailboxes
- Help keep common front areas clean and tidy
- Run errands around campus
- Help out whenever possible
- Hold daily office hours
- Attend employee meetings and training
- Other duties as assigned by the UM Productions Director and Advisor
IN RETURN YOU GET:
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn and work in the entertainment field, develop important business skills, and experience group dynamics. This is a 12-month position which pays a wage based on minimum wage + $0.65 per hour up to 80 hours per month. The current hourly wage is $6.90 per hour. On July 24, 2008, the hourly wage for this position will increase to $7.20 per hour. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for his/her tasks, should the work load exceed 80 hours per month. All coordinators are encouraged to make arrangements for independent study or internship to tie into their appointment to augment their academic record.
